	. Hypoglossum hypoglossoides (Stackhouse) Collins & Harvey (9cm) (=Fucus hypoglossum Woodward, =Fucus hypoglossoides Stackhouse, =Delesseria hypogossum Lamouroux, =Hypoglossum woodwardii Kuetzing) .
	Etymo: gr: overlapping tongues; lat: similar to Hypoglossum Etymo: gr: lingue che si sovrappongono; lat: simile a Hypoglossum
	. Soft, richly branched thallus; pointed branches, 2 to 5mm wide, provided with a central ribbing from which new branches have origin; up to 20cm long. The general aspect is that of a dense, rounded, soft tuft. Bright red to pink. The gametophyte and the sporophyte are similar. The hemispheric cystocarps (0.5mm) adhere to the central ribbing. Annual Species, found year round in sheltered, infralittoral environments. Tallo soffice, riccamente ramificato; ramificazioni appuntite, larghe da 2 a 5mm, provviste di nervatura centrale dalla quale si dipartono le nuove ramificazioni; altezza fino a 20cm. L'aspetto generale è di un denso e soffice cespuglio arrotondato. Colore da rosso vivo a rosa. Il gametofito e lo sporofito sono simili. I cistocarip emisferici (diametro 0.5mm) aderiscono alla nervatura centrale. Specie annuale, si trova tutto l'anno in ambienti riparati sommersi. .
	- Common in Mediterranean, Black Sea, North-Eastern Atlantic (from Norway to the Tropic of Cancer), North-Western Atlantic. Comune in Mediterraneo, Mar Nero, Atlantico Noed-orientale (dalla Norvegia al Tropico del Cancro) Atlantico Nord-occidentale. .
