	. Gelidium pulchellum (Turner) Kuetzing .
	Etymo: lat: iced; lat: nice and small Etymo: lat: ghiacciato; lat: bello e piccolo
	. Thallus with thread-like axes, single or more often branched, with arched extremities; 3 to 8cm. Brownish red. Tetrasporocystes in flattened, spatule-like extremities of ramuli; cystocarps at the inferior, inflated part of terminal ramuli. Found year round on rocks in sandy shaltered biotopes and rock pools, from surface down to -5m. Tallo con assi multipli filiformi, spesso ramificati, con estremità arcuate, altezza da 3 a 8cm. Colore rosso brunastro. Le tetrasporocisti si trovano alle estremità superiori, a forma di spatola, dei ramuli terminali; i cistocarpi prendono posto alle estremità inferiori ed enfiate dei ramuli terminali. Si trova lungo tutto il corso dell'anno su rocce in ambienti sabbiosi e riparati o in pozze di scogliera, tra la superficie e una profondità di -5m. .
	. Widely diffused in Mediterranean, Black Sea, North-Eastern Atlantic. Largamente diffuso in Mediterraneo, Mar Nero, Atlantico Nord-orientale. .

Feldmann & Hamel accepted as different Species Gelidium crinale (Turner) Lamouroux in Bory, Gelidium pulchellum (Turner) Kuetzing and Gelidium pusillum (Stackhouse) Le Jolis: Dixon & Irvine, however, reduce these three taxa to the one Gelidium pusillum (Stackhouse) Le Jolis. Boudouresque suggests that Mediterranean specimens could be referred to the same species. Feldmann & Hamel accettano come Specie valide Gelidium crinale (Turner) Lamouroux in Bory, Gelidium pulchellum (Turner) Kuetzing e Gelidium pusillum (Stackhouse) Le Jolis: Dixon e Irvine, tuttavia, riducono questi tre taxa al solo Gelidium pusillum (Stackhouse) Le Jolis. Boudouresque suggerisce che gli esemplari Mediterranei possano essere riferiti tutti a questa Specie. .
