	. Long, thin, cylindrical thallus, completely covered by a cortex; dichotomic branching, slightly curved or straight extremities, no (microscopic) thorns; up to 20-25cm. Very variable Species! Deep red. Trigenetic reproduction cycle. Annual Species, found year round on rocks or epiphite on other algae, at the higher levels of infralittoral stage, particularly in exposed environments. Tallo lungo, sottile, cilindrico, completamente coperto da una cuticola; ramificazione dicotomica, estremità leggermente curve o diritte, senza spine (microscopiche); altezza fino a 20-25cm. Specie molto variabile! Colore rosso carico. Ciclo riproduttivo trigenetico. Specie annuale, si trova lungo tutto il corso dell'anno su rocce, o epifita su altre alghe, ai livelli superiori della zona sommersa, particolarmente in ambienti esposti ai moti ondosi. .
