	Etymo: gr: horn-like; lat: with hairs Etymo: gr: simile a corna; lat: con ciglia
	. . The thallus is formed by dense tufts of elongated, thin, cylindrical axes, showing alternate white and red bands; dichotomic branching; the profile of each couple of extremities is curved in hart shape: these are typical characteristics of the genus *Ceramium. Found from spring to autumn on rocks or as epiphite particularly on calcareous algae, in sheltered environments, from the surface down to -10m. Il tallo è formato da densi ciuffi di assi cilindrici, lunghi e sottili, colorati a bande alternate rosse e bianche; ramificazione dicotomica; il profilo di ogni coppia di estremità è curvato in forma di cuore: tutte queste sono caratteristiche tipiche del Genere Ceramium*. Si trova tra la primavera e l'autunno su rocce, o epifita particolarmente su alghe calcaree, in ambienti riparati, tra la superficie e fino a -10m. .
